• 1 May 2053: World War III begins on Earth. Nuclear weapons are detonated in a conflict between the Eastern Coalition and the West and its allies. Amongst those most devastated by the conflict is the newly-emerging Muslim Bloc. Cities such as Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Riyadh, Karachi, New Delhi, London, and New York City are among those hit with nuclear weapons (though not all are destroyed, and other cites are devastated by conventional weapons).^[1]
