• The Talarians attack the Federation colony on Galen IV, killing most of the population. One survivor is young Jeremiah Rossa, who is adopted by the Talarian commander. ^[2]
• The Bajoran Resistance grows and Cardassia gets more and more worried on it^[3]
• When the mines of Gallitep are to be shut down (and all Bajoran mine workers to be killed) by the Cardassians, the Shakaar resistance cell is contacted by Bajoran collaborator and scientist Daul Mirosha; the resistance cell is then able to get access to the mine and to beam off most of the Bajorans. Daul is killed during the evacuation^[3]
• When Ro Laren is contacted by some terrorists of the Bajoran Resistance who want to blow up Terok Nor, she first agrees to help then. Upon thinking of the 1000's of Bajorans who would be killed together with the few Cardassians, she decides otherwise and manages to prevent the terrorist strike.^[3]

• William Riker graduates eighth in his class from Starfleet Academy. He is posted to the USS Pegasus. ^[4]
• Soleta enrolls in Starfleet Academy. ^[5]
• Mark McHenry decides to go to Starfleet Academy, angering the Being known as Artemis, who wants to make him ambassador between humanity and her people. ^[5]
• Beverly Crusher returns to active Starfleet duty, after an extended leave, as chief medical officer of the USS Horatio. ^[6]
