A dev blog is a blog-style website and includes text, images, or other digital media accessible via the Internet, used by game developers to provide information relating to their game. The majority of Star Trek dev blogs are written by developers of Star Trek Online and published on the ARC website of Perfect Entertainment, of which Cryptic Studios is a subsidiary.
For Star Trek Online, dev blogs can contain real-world information, in-universe prose, or a mixture thereof. Prose-oriented blogs can be called lore blogs.

Ten Forward Weekly[]
A video-based release is the weekly Ten Forward Weekly livestream.
- "Ten Forward Weekly: Two New Legendary Ships!", streamed by community rep Mike "Ambassador Kael" Fatum on 29 March 2023, reveals the ships of the First Strike Bundle - a 2280s-era Akira-class cruiser and the legendary Valdore-class temporal ops warbird, visually based on the Melponar triplets' warbird from LD episode: "Crisis Point 2: Paradoxus". These were later identified as the Matsumoto- and Melponar-class, respectively.
