African Confederation

The African Confederation is a political entity on Earth, in Africa. Starfleet officers Geordi La Forge and Matrina Sedik were born in the African Confederation. (TNG episode: "Conundrum"; ST video game: Away Team)

The East African country of Somalia and its capital, the city of Mogadishu (La Forge's home town), were within the African Confederation. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)

It is unclear if the African Confederation is an alternate name for the United States of Africa, or if the two are separate entities.
