Ajir captain

The Ajir captain.

The Ajir were a civilization native to a homeworld located somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants. They cultivated a fearsome reputation to conceal the fact that they were a weak race and their empire consisted of only two planets.

History and specifics[]

The Ajir tried to provoke the USS Excelsior into attacking them, so they could claim war damages and have the Federation rehabilitate them. Captain James T. Kirk convinced the Ajir to instead allow the Federation to build a trading station on their world, putting them under the Federation's protection. (TOS comics: "Double Blind, Part One", "Double Blind, Part II")
