Akwar's Ninth Prophecy was an ancient Bajoran prophecy which stated that when all of Bajor's moons aligned, peace would reign. This alignment was to happen circa 2570. In 2370, however, all but one of the moons were in alignment, and the Bajoran terrorist Orta planned to use the prophecy as an excuse to move or destroy Bajor's second moon, in a ploy to start a conflict with the Federation.
