Alberto Taveras was a Human male. He was a member of Starfleet and served as a security officer aboard Deep Space 9.

In January 2377, Taveras and Franz Cortez found Kira Nerys and Ro Laren lying injured near Taran'atar's quarter. They contacted the Infirmary and called in a medical emergency. (DS9 novel: Warpath)
