The Alerica was a DY-700 class Earth ship. The Alerica was built on Earth and had been sold to a Frunalian shipping company sometime prior to 2372.
The crew of the USS Defiant encountered the damaged Alerica near the Bajor system in 2372. It was believed to have been attacked by a D'Kora-class Ferengi marauder. (DS9 novel: The 34th Rule)
