Alfa 177 is the second planet in the Alpha Honorus star system located inside Federation space.

HistoryEdit

The USS Enterprise visited this planet in 2266 and conducted a geological survey. A native ore caused a major transporter malfunction when accidentally brought aboard.

According to the map coordinates provided in FASA RPG module: The Federation, and adjusting the map orientation, Alfa 177 is located in the Beta Quadrant.

GeographyEdit

Alfa 177 is only marginally classified as Class M. It has a thin atmosphere, which combined with its distance from its parent sun, leads to nighttime temperatures reaching as low as -120 degrees Celsisus.

The planet has several rare mineral ores, at least one of which is yellow in color and has unusual magnetic properties.

Natural HistoryEdit

Despite the planet's harsh conditions, some animals have evolved. One of these animals is a non-sentient, horned canine.
