Added by CaptainmikeAlpha Andromedae (also known as Delta Pegasi or the Alferaz system) is a star system that was located a number of parsecs away from the Sol system, visible from Earth on the border of the constellations of Andromeda and Pegasus.
The binary system's components include the primary star Alferaz A and a secondary star, Hajj. (ST reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)
The Federation starship USS Alferaz was named for this location. (TOS reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)
- In modern day astronomical notation, the two stars of Alferaz do not have separate names, particularly the secondary's name "Hajj", which appears to have been devised for the Technical Manual.
