The Allegheny River is a river on Earth found in the North American continent. The river runs through the states of New York and Pennsylvania, then ends in the city of Pittsburgh where it flows into the Monongahela River to form the Ohio River.

Sean Aloysius O'Brien, a distant ancestor of Miles O'Brien, was found lying face down in the Allegheny River. When O'Brien was pulled from the river, he had nearly three dozen bullets in his body. (DS9 episode: "Bar Association")
