Allyn Gibson is a writer who lives in Baltimore, Maryland, where he works for a publishing firm.

Gibson authored a handful of Star Trek stories around the turn of the 21st century, with the last being published over 15 years ago. That short story, "Make-Believe", was awarded the 2006 Psi Phi Award for Best Short Story. He also composed the timeline that appeared in the omnibus edition of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine miniseries Millennium.

Gibson is one of several authors who have produced annotations for their published works.
