Ensign Almonte served as a security officer aboard the USS Enterprise-E in 2379. Late that year, while the Enterprise was in orbit above Qo'noS, Almonte was stationed at tactical on the bridge when Ambassador Worf, along with his son Alexander Rozhenko, came aboard the Enterprise to submit his resignation to newly-elected Federation President Nanietta Bacco.

Almonte was scheduled to rotate off the ship and transfer to a new position at Starfleet Headquarters as soon as the Enterprise returned to Earth. (TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace)
