Alnschloss K'Bentayr was a Starfleet officer, serial number SA-890-0404-DB. K'Bentayr was born on the planet Monchezke in the Beta Quadrant and was security officer of the USS Kelvin in the early 23rd century. (TOS website: Starfleet Shipyard; TOS movie: Star Trek)

K'Bentayr was assigned to the Kelvin as a security officer under Captain Richard Robau. In 2230, K'Bentayr went with Capt. Robau and Lt. Cmdr. George Samuel Kirk, Sr. to make first contact with the Roylans of Royla. When Kirk and K'Bentayr tried to find the problem with their shuttle, they recieved helped from one of the natives, Keenser, who impressed both K'Bentary and Kirk by pinpoint the problem and the solution to fixing their shuttle.(TOS comic: "IDW Star Trek, Issue 14")

K'Bentayr was on the Kelvin's bridge when they investigated a anomaly that resembled a lightning storm in space. After the Narada stopped it's attack, K'Bentayr stood by as Capt. Robau agreed to meet with it's commander. After Robau was killed, K'Bentayr and the crew evacuated the Kelvin as Commander Kirk rammed the Kelvin into the Narada, disabling it.TOS movie: Star Trek (film)
