Alpha Andromedae (also known as Delta Pegasi or the Alferaz system) is a star system that was located a number of parsecs away from the Sol system, visible from Earth on the border of the constellations of Andromeda and Pegasus.

The binary system's components include the primary star Alferaz A and a secondary star, Hajj. (ST reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)

The Federation starship USS Alferaz was named for this location. (TOS reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)

In modern day astronomical notation, the two stars of Alferaz do not have separate names, particularly the secondary's name "Hajj", which appears to have been devised for the Technical Manual.
