Alpha Centauri III was a planet, the third planet in orbit of the star Alpha Centauri A, located in the Alpha Centauri system, in the space of the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. This world was the location of one of the first extrasolar human colonies. Alpha Centauri III's capital was New Samarkand.
