Alpha Jem'Hadar were Jem'Hadar created in the Alpha Quadrant. There were tensions between the Gamma Quadrant-created Jem'Hadar and the Alpha Quadrant-created Jem'Hadar. (DS9 episode: "One Little Ship")

The Alpha Jem'Hadar were also referred to as "Alphans." (ST website: Startrek.com)

In 2386 the Alpha Jem'Hadar's First was Lamat'Ukan. The next year, the Alphas take control of Devos II, placing a base near a production facility for ketracel-white. The Jem'Hadar also increase the capabilites of the facility in order to produce more of the white. The Jem'Hadar make no further movement. (ST website: The Path to 2409)
