Alpha Ophiuchi, also known as Rasalhague, was a binary star consisting of two type A light blue stars.

It was located in the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant, in the proximity of Alpha Coronae Borealis and Upsilon Aquarii, and visible from Earth in the constellation of Ophiuchus. (ST reference: Star Charts)
