- This page details a counterpart of Amanda Grayson in the alternate reality created by Nero's temporal incursion; for the Amanda Grayson in the primary universe see Amanda Grayson; for the Amanda Grayson in the mirror universe see Amanda Grayson (mirror); for the Amanda Grayson in all other alternate universes see Amanda Grayson (alternates).
|Full Name:||Amanda Stemple Grayson|
|Birthplace:||Seattle, Washington, USA, Earth|
|Other relatives:|| Arthur Conan Doyle (ancestor)|
Jeremy Grayson (ancestor)
Dora Grayson (ancestor)
- It is unclear whether Amanda's nephews, Lester and Jimmy are born in the alternate reality, if they were born after Nero's arrival.
- This is an assumption based on Spock's claim that an ancestor was responsible for the quote, "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."
In 2229, she met the Vulcan Ambassador, Sarek, and the two were soon married. Following the marriage, Amanda and Sarek set up home in the city of ShiKahr on Vulcan, and in 2230 their son, Spock, was born, with the genetic assistance of pioneering team Sorel and Daniel Corrigan. (TOS novels: Ishmael, Demons, Spock's World, The Vulcan Academy Murders, The IDIC Epidemic)
In approximately 2241, Amanda's son defended her when other Vulcan children insulted her. After this became a physical fight and was then ended, Sarek told Spock that marrying Amanda was a decision based on logic instead of love. At a later point, Spock consulted with his mother on whether to pursure kolinahr. She reassured him of her pride in him, no matter the choice that he selected. (TOS movie: Star Trek)
Amanda was with Sarek and Vulcan elders in the katric ark during Nero's 2258 attack on Vulcan. While Spock managed to rescue the elders and Sarek, Pavel Chekov could not transport her to the USS Enterprise in time. Amanda died on Vulcan moments before the planet was destroyed. Soon after, James T. Kirk used Spock's mother's death to prove he was emotionally compromised thus leaving Kirk in charge of the Enterprise. Eventually, Sarek revealed the true reason he married Amanda Grayson: love. (TOS movie: Star Trek)
Months after his mother's death, Spock still dreamed about the destruction of Vulcan. In his dreams, she was successfully transported to the Enterprise only to have Spock sucked into space via a hull breach while the ship exploded, and Amanda blaming Spock for killing everyone. (TOS comic: "Countdown to Darkness, Number One")
