The Ambassador of the Imperial Romulan State to the United Federation of Planets is the individual in the government of the Imperial Romulan State responsible for heading up the IRS's diplomatic mission to the Federation, representing his or her government to the UFP and coordinating IRS police towards the Federation. The IRS Ambassador to the Federation is often a rival for power with the Romulan Ambassador to the United Federation of Planets because of the Imperial Romulan State's status as a splinter state from the Romulan Star Empire.
