Amina Sasine was a female human Starfleet Officer serving in the late 23rd and early 24th centuries. Hailing from the République de Côte d'Ivoire in Africa on Earth, she had dark skin, dark hair, and hazel eyes. She had one brother and three sisters. In 2311 she held the rank of Commander and was assigned to Helaspont Station on the Tzenkethi border after a tour of duty on Foxtrot XIII.

She served a brief tour of duty on the USS Enterprise-B until she left the ship to become executive officer of the USS New York. In 2302, she became romantically involved with former commanding officer John Harriman, and the two would eventually wed in 2311. (TLE novel: Serpents Among the Ruins)

The two remained happily married until at least the year 2371, where they spent their sixtieth wedding anniversary at Scoma's on Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. (TNG - Strange New Worlds VII short story: "Full Circle")
