Anara was a Bajoran female who served as an engineer in the Bajoran Militia in the late 24th century.
In 2369, Anara was rotated to a duty assignment to the engineering division of Deep Space 9, where she received training in the skills that the Militia thought would be essential in rebuilding Bajor following the Occupation. As well as being an engineer, Anara had training in physics and transporter operations. (ST:CCG: Second Edition)
During her assignment to DS9, Anara assisted Chief Miles O'Brien in repairing the station's systems and dealing with a living software program that had infiltrated the station's computer systems, nicknamed "Pup", which had come through the wormhole from the Gamma Quadrant.
