Will and Kyle Riker play Anbo-jyutsu

Anbo-jyutsu is a combat sport very popular within the Federation by the mid-24th century. The blind Alpha Centauran gymnast Kathar Eltrin invented this specialized school of staff-fighting in 2168. It remains more popular on Alpha Centauri as a performance art rather than a martial art, but Centaurans in Starfleet have returned it to its efficient roots. Anbo-jytsu stresses kinesthetics, balance, and keen senses. (Last Unicorn sourcebook: Starfleet Operations Manual)

In 2373, Kes and B'Elanna Torres participated in several anbo-jyutsu matches on the USS Voyager's holodeck, as a means to channel some of the anger and frustration that was building inside Kes's mind since her possession by the Ilari warlord, Tieran. However, both competitors decided that combat sports wasn't the best way for Kes to deal with it. (VOY short story: "Winds of Change")

The most common move in Anbo-jyutsu, a sweeping blow brought between the attacker's legs for maximum interference with movement. (Last Unicorn sourcebook: Starfleet Operations Manual)

[edit] Pranha Jyutsu

You hear your opponent's moves and subconsciously translate the audible signal into reflexive muscle action. (Last Unicorn sourcebook: Starfleet Operations Manual)
