Andros was the capital city of the planet Kyros. The inhabitants of Andros were referred to as the Androsians.

In 2269, Commander Spock of the USS Enterprise was taken over by the messiah-complex of Chag Gara's psyche, via a cephalic telescan implant. The Spock-messiah's personality planned to attack Andros first, on a path to domination on Kyros. (TOS novel: Spock, Messiah!)
