Anisar Batra was a Lieutenant and paleogeneticist on the USS Enterprise-C in 2336. She had the misfortune of becoming romantically involved with first officer Samir al-Halak. She ended up being killed when coming afoul of his past (and the Asfar Qatala) on Farius Prime that year. (TLE novel: Well of Souls)
