Antin "Grim" Vargo was a Human man and the captain and pilot of the ship Pride in the 24th century.
Biography[]
His father gave him that ship, and also taught Grim how to live the life of a ship-for-hire captain. His face was cut in a fight, and nerve damage had left him with a permanent half-smile. He hired his services out to Seven of Nine while between runs on Titan. He eluded the USS Thunderchild, but was later captured and confined aboard the vessel. Captain Vargo escaped the destruction of the ship and followed the Borg Cube back to Earth. He was instrumental in rescuing Seven of Nine (his former passenger) after the destruction of the Planet Killer. (TNG novel: Before Dishonor)
