Anton Karidian

Anton Karidian was the identity given to Kodos by the Symmetrists following the Tarsus IV Massacre in 2246. Karidian wanted to distance himself from his former self, so studied to become an actor and founded the Karidian Players. In 2247, Karidian had a daughter, Lenore Karidian, who he wanted to hide from his past shame, and raised her to be a performer like him. (TOS novel: Avenger).

In 2266, while aboard the USS Enterprise, Karidian was revealed to be Kodos by Captain James T. Kirk, one of the few remaining survivors from Tarsus IV. At that point Karidian discovered that Lenore had been killing all of the survivors to protect her father, and as a final act, Karidian stepped in the way as Lenore attempted to kill Captain Kirk, and he was killed instantly.
