Apollo 11

Memory Beta, the wiki for licensed Star Trek content.

Apollo 11 was the name of the mid-20th century mission that first landed Humans on the surface of Luna. Apollo 11 included two spacecraft: the command module, Columbia, and the lunar module, Eagle. In July 1969, the Eagle landed at Tranquility Base, and Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to set foot on an alien surface. Along with Columbia pilot Michael Collins, these astronauts became international heroes on Earth following the successful completion of the mission. (historical records; Star Trek: Star Charts)

The lower stage of the Eagle was preserved in place during subsequent human development of Luna, and eventually became the centerpiece of Tranquility Park. (TOS novel: Prime Directive)
