The Apollo-class was a type of Federation starship in use in the early 23rd and 24th centuries. (ST reference: Star Trek Encyclopedia)

The Apollo-class scouts originally entered service in the early-23rd century and was a contemporary of the Hermes-class scouts and Saladin-class destroyers and the Kelvin type which entered service around the same time. (ST video game: Legacy)

They also Bear a Close resemblance to the Akula class frigate.
