The Arachnae system was a star system located near the Romulan Neutral Zone. It consisted of a G-type star and held seven planets. Arachnae was the only world in this system capable of supporting life. On Stardate 6451.3, this system became enveloped by the Romulan Star Empire due to shifting forces in the galaxy.
