The Arc de Triomphe was a monument in Paris on Earth, located on the Champs-Élysées. It was constructed in the early 19th century and honors those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars.

The Arc de Triomphe survived to the 24th century, and was one of the landmarks visible from the Presidential Office in the Palais de la Concorde. (TNG novel: A Time to Kill)
