Arcadia is the fifth planet in the Vellun Gamma system and homeworld of the humanoid Arcadians, an associate member of the United Federation of Planets.

The United Federation of Planets made first contact with Arcadia in 2278. Due to their xenophobic society, Arcadia is an associate member of the Federation as of 2286.

Geography[]
Arcadia is a temperate world whose thin atmosphere contains slightly more oxygen than Earth's. The planet is primarily made up of water with islands dotting the surface and two small continents lying near the southern pole. Several artificial islands have been constructed that can be moved about as the seasons change.
Natural History[]
The only non-intelligent organism observed to exist on Arcadia by Federation scientists thus far is a type of plankton abundant in the planet's oceans.
