The Arch-Merchant was an independent freighter in service in the 24th century. Although the Arch-Merchant was a "clean" vessel compared to other freighters, the Arch-Merchant was prone to multiple breakdowns.

In 2376, the Arch-Merchant participated in the transport of reactor cores to Cardassia Prime as part of the rebuilding efforts. Accompanying the Arch-Merchant was the Vulpecula and the Starfleet escort ship, USS Lincoln. Their mission was delayed several times due to the Arch-Merchant's continued engine problems. When the Lincoln was engulfed by the Enigma vessel, the Arch-Merchant continued on to Cardassia. (SCE eBook: Enigma Ship)
