Archon is a title given in the Cardassian judiciary.

In 2318, Procal Dukat was an Archon in the Ministry of Justice and this position gave him a great deal of political influence. (TLE - Terok Nor novel: Day of the Vipers) The leading judge on Cardassia is known as the Chief Archon. (DS9 episode: "Tribunal")
