The 34th Rule, co-authored by Armin Shimmerman.

Armin Shimerman is an American actor who is best known to Star Trek fans for playing Quark in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

He also played Quark in two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager, as well as in a scene deleted from Star Trek: Insurrection. He even played Quark in a 1996 edition of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

He provided Quark's voice for the video games Harbinger and The Fallen. He has also narrated several audiobooks, including Legends of the Ferengi and The 34th Rule.

Other Star Trek characters he played include a Betazoid gift box, the Ferengi Letek and Bractor, the mirror universe Quark in "Crossover" and Herbert Rossoff in the popular episode "Far Beyond the Stars".

He co-wrote the DS9 novel The 34th Rule with David R. George III. The novel originated from an idea he, George and Eric A. Stillwell had pitched to Deep Space Nine.

In Voyages of Imagination, he notes that David George keeps him up to date with the events of the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine relaunch. George often thanks Shimerman in many of his novels.
