Commander Arthur "Art" Chenowyth was a human male who served as Captain Garrovick's first officer aboard the USS Farragut in the mid-2250s.
In 2257 he took temporary command of the Farragut following its encounter with the dikironium cloud creature at Tycho IV. (TOS comic: "Debt of Honor") In the aftermath of the encounter, Chenowyth recorded a commendation in the official log for helmsman James T. Kirk, noting for the record that "Lieutenant Kirk is a fine young officer who performed with uncommon bravery." (TOS episode: "Obsession")
