Artinton was a male Orion pirate in the 23rd century, who served as shuttle pilot aboard the RRV Queen Mary, serving under his cousin, Krulmadden.

In 2269, Artinton and another cousin, Lasslanlin, engaged in a barroom brawl on Rigel VIII against Hikaru Sulu and Pavel Chekov. The Orions were beaten, earning the Humans positions with the ship's crew. (TOS novel: Prime Directive)
