Assimilation², Issue 5 is the untitled fifth issue of Assimilation², the Star Trek: The Next Generation—Doctor Who crossover comic series from IDW Publishing in 2012. The story is by Scott & David Tipton, and the art is by Gordon Purcell and J.K. Woodward.

Captain Jean-Luc Picard faces one of the most difficult decisions of his life, but the fate of the galaxy may depend on it! Can the Doctor convince him to make the correct choice?

Summary[]

When Captain Picard won't agree to discuss an alliance with the Borg to stop the Cybermen, The Doctor tries to convince him with reason. Guinan describes Picard's past experiences as Locutus and the Battle of Wolf 359. Finally, The Doctor takes Picard on a journey in the TARDIS, traveling into various points in the future to show him the Cybermen conquering Qo'noS, Vulcan, and finally Earth. This convinces Picard.
