The Atawheans were a race presumably native to the Alpha Quadrant. In 2336, an Atawhean colony ship was attacked by pirates near the Draavid nebulae cluster, and got caught in the gravity well of a black hole. They were discovered and rescued by the USS Enterprise-C. (TLE novel: Well of Souls)
