Avelos was a female Caeliar who lived in Axion while the city-ship was on Erigol and later on New Erigol.
In 2381, the USS Titan approached New Erigol, and an away team was allowed to travel to the surface in the Mance, but placed under close observation, a decision borne from the Caeliar's earlier incidents with the Earth Starfleet MACOs. Avelos and Bednar were two of the Caeliar who kept watch over the Titan's away team, although Avelos released Bednar once the entire team was together. (ST - Destiny novel: Mere Mortals)
