Avery III was a planet, the third planet in the Avery star system in the galaxy's Delta Quadrant.

History

Avery III was located in the space of the Vidiian Sodality state and was the site of an underground outpost where Vidiian scientists using slave laborers researched the phage.
In the year 2371, an away team from the Federation starship USS Voyager investigating Avery III's magnesite deposits were captured by Sulan, a Vidiian scientist. Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres was the subject of Sulan's experimentation on genetic hybrids and Lieutenant Peter Durst was killed for organ harvest before Voyager was able to recover Torres and Tom Paris.
