In the War of the Prophets timeline, the Bajoran Ascendancy was the name of the Bajoran state that centered around a new religion of worship of the Pah-wraiths of the second wormhole.

The Bajoran Ascendancy was hostile to the United Federation of Planets in this timeline and had numerous border skirmishes against them. However, their goal was not the acquisition of territory but the defense of Bajoran space which had been violated by Starfleet vessels that attempted to destroy the second wormhole.
