The Bajoran First Republic was an era that encompassed Bajor; it was founded in 12,064 B.C. and fell in 3742 B.C. (Last Unicorn RPG module: All Our Yesterdays: The Time Travel Sourcebook)

This period of Bajoran history was the first golden age and saw their greatest achievements. The First Republic spanned some eight thousand years and was a time when Bajoran culture flourished. Some of their greates artistic masterpieces were created with a thousand year period of balkanization with strife following it which comprised the second age. During this age, communities banded together against the encroaching chaos of civil conflict. (Decipher RPG module: Aliens)

Captain Benjamin Sisko encountered several Bajoran manuscripts in 2371 that dated from this time. (DS9 episode: "Explorers")
