Bajoran language
The Bajoran language is the language spoken by the Bajoran people.
The language is used in prayer, wedding ceremonies, death ceremonies and other events. (DS9 episodes: "Battle Lines", "Shakaar", "Accession", "Call to Arms")
The Book of the Kosst Amojan was written in ancient Bajoran. To release the Pah-wraith from the Fire Caves, one had to chant the words in the language. (DS9 episode: "What You Leave Behind")
After Bajor joined the United Federation of Planets in 2376, Federation Standard was added beside the Bajoran language on signposting. (DS9 novel: Bajor: Fragments and Omens)
The Bajorans sometimes translate non-Bajoran names into their language. (DS9 novel: The 34th Rule)
