Bajoran temple
Memory Beta, the wiki for licensed Star Trek content.
A Bajoran temple was a place of worship for those who followed the Bajoran religion.
Deep Space 9 had a temple which, in 2370, fell victim a hungry juvenile Horta that ate the temple's altar. (DS9 novel: Devil in the Sky) The Deep Space Nine temple also housed the Orb of Prophecy and Change. Thanks to this, the temple was not only a focal point of the station community, but for all of Bajor. This temple was also the site of Jadzia Dax's murder at the hands of the Pah-wraith-possessed Skrain Dukat. (DS9 episode: Tears of the Prophets")
