Baldvinsson was a female Human serving as an engineer in Starfleet in the 24th century. As of 2381, Lieutenant Baldvinsson was assigned to the Starfleet Corps of Engineers team on Deep Space 3, working on Project Reassimilation under Lieutenant Commander Kareem Mussad. As part of the project, Baldvinsson and her team attempted to reverse-engineer the self-repair capabilities of Borg technology. She estimated, in a report to Mussad and Captain Montgomery Scott, that such a project could take ten years to complete. (ST novel: A Singular Destiny)
