Cadet Barbara O'Marla, also known as "Babs", was a dark haired girl that graduated Starfleet Academy just prior to 2294. She was at a gathering of friends at the Flag and Grog in 2294 when she met James T. Kirk. She became romantically involved with him just prior to being assigned by Starfleet to report on his actions. She joined the Thaylor Expedition on the Plush Princess and helped to save Hikaru Sulu.
