Barisa Prime was a planet located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, in orbit of the Barisa star system. Barisa Prime was a Federation colony located near Tzenkethi territory. In the year 2371, the USS Defiant answers a faked distress call from Barisa indicating the world was attacked by Tzenkethi forces. (DS9 episode: "The Adversary")
