The Baxial was a Talaxian Drexia-class freighter and salvage ship operated by Neelix in the late 24th century. (ST reference: Star Trek Encyclopedia, CCG reference: Holodeck Adventures, CCG reference: Captain's Log)

In 2371, Neelix took the Baxial on a salvage mission within a debris field located near the planet Ocampa, when the Federation starship USS Voyager approached and contacted Neelix about information regarding the Caretaker's array. Neelix agreed to help the Voyager crew locate some missing crew members and the Baxial was brought aboard the larger starship and refuelled. After locating the crew members, and locating his lover Kes, Neelix requested permission to remain aboard Voyager, with the Baxial safely stored in the ship's shuttlebay. Two years later, Neelix used the Baxial to transport a security team to the Akritirian prison satellite on a mission to break in and retrieve Lieutenant Tom Paris and Ensign Harry Kim, who had been incarcerated there. (VOY episode: "The Chute")

In 2377, Neelix and Commander Chakotay used the Baxial to get through a Quarren security perimeter in search of Voyager's missing crew. (VOY episode: "Workforce")

A few months later, Neelix used the Baxial to protect another Talaxian ship whilst it planted force field emitters on an asteroid containing a Talaxian mining colony. Shortly after, Neelix and the Baxial departed Voyager and remained with the colony. (VOY episode: "Homestead")
