In the mirror universe, Berik was a Klingon member of the House of Beyhn. In 2288, he was one of three newest and youngest members of the High Council, along with his friends Korax and Rhaza. The three challenged Gorkon after he suggested sacrificing Klingon worlds to double the military budget, but the challenge was set aside by Regent Sturka. (TOS novel: The Sorrows of Empire)
